Bacheldre Watermill

Bacheldre MillThe Watermill at Bacheldre is over 200 years old and is a rare surviving example of a water powered flour mill. Bacheldre Watermill was built around the same time as the Industrial Revolution was beginning in the North and Midlands of England. Grain has been milled at Bacheldre for centuries (and still is today) and the Mill as it now stands was rebuilt in 1746. The Mill retains all of its original features including the Overshot Waterwheel, French Burr Millstones and millpond.
