There’s something for everyone – you can take a guided tour with one of our volunteer guides and hear the full story of the watermill and its renovation. Alternatively you can wander round in your own time – there’s plenty to see and find out about. Children can even have a go at making their own stoneground flour using our hand-driven mill and learn about where flour and bread comes from.
Opening : We mill three or four times a week – you may well catch us in action, but we always have the machinery turning. Open throughout the year. Closed on Mondays (apart from Bank Holidays) . 1st April to 30th September :10 am-4pm. Late autumn and Winter 11am-4pm. We can open on Mondays and evenings for larger groups. 2015 admission charges :Adults – £4 ; Child – £1. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult. Family (2 adults and 2 children) – £9. Organised parties and school groups welcome by arrangement.

Directions: Talgarth is half way between Brecon & Hay-on-Wye. Talgarth Mill is in the square in the middle of town next to the bridge. Car parking is provided at the entrance to Talgarth just off the roundabout on the Brecon road. Follow the signs for Town Centre. See map : Talgarth Mill

Shop: Stocks a wide range of 100% wholemeal flours milled on site including strong (Canadian wheat); biscuit (Hereford wheat), along with rye and spelt flours; and special mixes eg with sunflower, sesame, seven-seeds, herbal and self-raising flours. Also a range of bread mixes.
